Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life.

It should be as unique as you are and a day to truly remember

Every couples relationship is unique, and your wedding ceremony should reflect all of the facets, and the uniqueness of you and your partner.

Choosing a celebrant is as important as choosing your dress, you should take your time, try a few on, the fit should be perfect, and when it is, then real magic can be happen.

I love to celebrate differences, and make something truly unique, and without the constraints of a church or a registry office, I am able to work with you to create the service of your dreams. Wedding ceremonies are a real passion of mine, so to be able to create a service with a couple is a dream.

Woodland wedding...perfect. Local pub, no problem. Want to get married on the side of a mountain? Sure just give me a minute to catch my breath!

Because I'm a celebrant not a registrar, we can hold your ceremony anywhere (almost). Not needing a licensed venue means you can be a creative as you want to be. I can also offer advice on the legal aspects, of your marriage, to ensure you are able to get that part out of the way as simply as possible, to leave you to concentrate of the real celebration.

I really enjoy working with couples, as they share their thoughts and ideas, and seeing their service evolve as we discuss poems, readings and music, discuss the writing of the vows, and watching their dreams take shape.

I am happy to include any special elements, and family traditions into your service.

An insight into some of the elements I am able to offer is shown below

Special ceremony elements

Including special elements into your ceremony can further make your ceremony unique, and special to the two of you. It is also an opportunity to include family and friends into the most important part of your wedding day.

Rose Ceremony

In this ceremony, the couple can choose to present a rose to their mothers, to show love and appreciation for the care and support that they have received from them. It is a beautiful, but simple way to include the mothers into the ceremony.

Certificate Signing

This involves the couple and their chosen witnesses each taking it in turns to sign a beautiful custom certificate, designed to match the style and colours of your wedding, commissioned specially for the couple, which is a wonderful keepsake and the perfect opportunity to invite all of your guests around to witness the signing.

Sand unity ceremony

This ceremony is perfect for any wedding but even more so to symbolise the joining of extended families, when step children are coming together, or the couple would like a way to include their children into the ceremony.

A beautiful glass bottle is filled with different coloured sand, each colour representing a person, creating one family from a number of people.

I can source a wide array of beautiful bottles, or if you have one that is special to your family, I am happy for us to use this.

First kiss, last kiss

This ceremony involves inviting the mother of the couple up to join them towards the end of their ceremony.

The mothers gave their children their first kiss when they came into the world, and will give them their last kiss as single people, before they start their new journey as a married couple.

Unity candle

This is a long used Catholic ritual, but is a beautiful element to add to any wedding ceremony. Symbolising the joining of a couple as well as the joining of a family.

The mothers will each light their own individual candles, and then light the candle that each of their children hold. The couple will then light together from both of their flames, their unity candle, which is a beautiful keepsake, and can be lit each anniversary of their wedding.
